PDMS Objectives
A significant problem that the petroleum industry has been faced with for decades is that the issue of data availability. By many estimates, geoscientists and engineers spend more than half their time locating, organizing, reformatting, loading, and checking data before any interpretive work can be done.
Despite the “digital revolution” and increasingly sophisticated application software, we still spend an enormous amount of time hunting for and integrating data.
Most of G&G interpretive applications do not provide direct integration with each other. PDMS's objective is to develop innovative, vendor-independent integration solutions.
These same approaches can be used to develop custom solutions for sophisticated data quality control, analysis, and queries. The resulting collection of integrated solutions and custom-developed database links will create a very efficient data management system that provides geoscience and engineering interpreters with the data needed for an operations-focused organization.

Data Management Support

For example, but not limited to, automating loading logging-while-drilling (LWD) into a G&G application in real-time can aid well construction decisions (e.g., length of the drain, require to sidetrack) and optimize completion strategy.
Depends on the source format, the tool might extract and transform the data before loading it into the target application.

Entering the same data into multiple applications is a time consuming and may yield errors due to typo or missing data and inconsistency. Assembling all the data for well review is time-consuming. WellReview is an efficient well review process application. WellReview can integrate multiple sources. It saves time and cost. LogsStore
Storing the log files in a filesystem leads to problems like integrity, data inconsistency, and data security. LogsStore provides a mechanism to extract the data along with their metadata from these files (LAS, DLIS, LIS) and store them in a database to allow flexible access to data and query using specific criteria. LogsStore improves data browsing, data QC, and visualization.
